Capturing the drama and epic conflict of Star Wars, Battlefront II brings the fight online. Attention to detail and scale make this game a joy to behold, with 16 incredible new battlefronts such as Utapau, Mustafar and the space above Coruscant, as well as the Death Star interior and Tantive IV. Star Wars Battlefront 2 's April Update is live, and it brings the Appearance system to the game. In this short guide, we'll show you every major character skin along with its price in Credits. Imperial officers were the successors of the regular, non-Jedi officers of the Galactic Republic. At the end of the Clone Wars, Chancellor Sheev Palpatine, leader of the Republic, unilaterally reorganized the regime into an autocratic Galactic Empire and also ordered the extermination of all Jedi. The Republic Military was then reformed into the Imperial Military.

This guide will show and tell you all you need to know about Star Wars Battlefront 2 Weapons, available in the Multiplayer for all 4 different classes!

Before we jump in, make sure you have the Basics about the game covered:

CONTENTS

  • 2 WEAPONS SPECIFICATIONS FOR ALL CLASSES
    • 2.1 ASSAULT CLASS
    • 2.2 HEAVY CLASS
    • 2.3 OFFICER CLASS
    • 2.4 SPECIALIST CLASS
  • 3 BEST WEAPONS FOR EACH CLASS

REQUIREMENTS TO UNLOCK THE WEAPONS

Each of the 4 Trooper classes in the game has one stock (default) weapon that they start with and another 3 available for unlocking through gameplay. The stock models don’t support any upgrades, but all the others do.

To unlock them for each class you have to complete the following achievements:

  • Weapon slot 1 – Default Weapon for all classes. Available to all players from the beginning.
  • Weapon slot 2 – Unlocked by killing 50 enemies with the specific class
  • Weapon slot 3 – Unlocked by killing 200 enemies with the specific class
  • Weapon slot 4 – Unlocked by killing 500 enemies with the specific class

The unlockable weapons have 3 mods each. They can be unlocked separately by killing a certain amount of enemies while using that weapon on any Multiplayer map:

  • Mod Slot 1 – Defeat 50 enemies in Multiplayer with the specific weapon
  • Mod Slot 2 – Defeat 150 enemies in Multiplayer with the specific weapon
  • Mod Slot 3 – Defeat 250 enemies in Multiplayer with the specific weapon

Before I begin with the detailed overview of each one of the weapons, let me give you this quick advice – getting the number of required kills is a lot faster and easier in small-scale maps and modes such as Strike and Blast.

WEAPONS SPECIFICATIONS FOR ALL CLASSES

In this segment of the guide we’ll take a closer look at each one of the 3 additional weapons available to the 4 trooper classes plus the mods available for them. Please, note, that all weapon statistics in the images below show them compared to the default weapon for the class (yellow underlines show the performance of the new weapon, silver bars show the default stats of the stock weapon)

ASSAULT CLASS
Star Wars Battlefront 2 Imperial Officer

The Assault class is the all-around good in everything, but best at nothing class. The weapons they have at their disposal include:

DC-15A

A standard issue blaster rifle with reliable range and damage output. This is the stock weapon for the Assault class and cannot be modified and upgraded.

A280

The first weapon unlockable when you kill 50 enemies in Multiplayer is a Medium-range rifle which fires three-blast bursts. Its available upgrades include:

  • Dual Zoom – Macroscope that can toggle between 2 magnification levels while zooming
  • Improved Cooling – Power Cell that greatly increases the time the blaster can be fired before requiring to be cooled down
  • Improved Range – Extended barrel that greatly enhances the bolt to maintain high damage distances
CR-2

A small and agile blaster with extreme rate of fire often wielded by the Naboo security officers. It can be yours when you defeat 200 enemies on the Battlefront. Its upgrades include:

  • Reduced Recoil – Light stock allowing sustained fire with less recoil
  • Ion Shot – Ionized bolts that change weapon efficiency: increased damage against turrets, vehicles and shields and reduced damage against troopers, special units and hero classes
  • Night Vision – Digital scope capable of revealing enemy troops even in the darkest of environments
EL-16HFE

A steady, sturdy, and built for medium to long-range combat distances. This weapon can be unlocked after you defeat 500 enemies in Multiplayer. It can be upgraded with the following mods:

  • Reduced Recoil – Light stock allowing sustained fire with less recoil
  • Improved Range – Extended barrel that greatly enhances the bolt to maintain high damage distances
  • Dual Zoom – Macroscope that can toggle between 2 magnification levels while zooming
HEAVY CLASS

The heavy class is like a tank on the battlefront and the weapons available reflect on that – heavy and deadly!

DC-15

The stock weapon is a balanced standard issue heavy blaster that trades accuracy for increased power and rate of fire. It cannot be upgraded and modified.

DC-15LE

This one will be yours once you defeat 50 enemies in Multiplayer. It’s a main battle rifle that can be modified for longer range engagements or to offer devastating explosive damage. The mods available are:

  • Reduced Recoil – Digital Rangefinger that calculates distance during sustained fire to compensate weapon recoil
  • Improved Zoom – Weapon scope with mid-range magnification for greater zoom distances
  • Exploding Shot – Unstable plasma that explodes on impact, dispersing the bolt damage across a small area. Due to its volatile nature, the blaster builds heat significantly faster with this mod on
FWMB-10K

A medium rate of fire blaster with high damage output. Its unlocked after 200 kills. it can be modified in the following ways:

  • Auto Cooling – Barrel vent system allowing the weapon to immediately cool down when the trigger is released
  • Night Vision – Digital scope capable of revealing enemy troops even in the darkest of environments
  • Ion Shot – Ionized bolts that change weapon efficiency: increased damage against turrets, vehicles and shields and reduced damage against troopers, special units and hero classes
TL-50

The TL-50 Heavy Repeater is capable of delivering a storm of blaster bolts, as well as a devastating concussion blast. Available after you defeat 500 enemies. It can be upgraded with the following mods:

  • Improved Cooling – Power Cell that greatly increases the time the blaster can be fired before requiring to be cooled down
  • Reduced Spread – Extended barrel allowing greater precision during sustained fire
  • Reinforced casing with built-in power cell that gathers energy to fire off a lethal concussion blast. To charge and fire Secondary Fire, you need to hold Zoom
OFFICER CLASS

The officer is a support and commanding class, boosting their allies and providing them with useful buffs on the battlefront. It’s more of a tactical class, that feels in its place when not on the front line, but rather behind the assault and heavy troops.

DC-17

The default pistol for the Officer class is a fast firing weapon. It’s well-balanced on all fronts, but excels in nothing. Cannot be modified in any way.

S-5

The S-5 is unlocked after you defeat 50 enemies. It’s a hard-hitting hand cannon, relying on high precision and range. Here are the 3 available mods:

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Imperial Officer
  • Reduced Recoil – Reinforeced barrel extension that absorbs much of the recoil with each blast
  • Macroscope that can toggle between two magnification levels while zooming
  • Ion Shot – Ionized bolts that change weapon efficiency: increased damage against turrets, vehicles and shields and reduced damage against troopers, special units and hero classes
BLURRG-1120

This is a small hold-out blaster with a 2-blast burst mode, named after the Blurrg – a strong and stoic creature native to the planet Ryloth. It’s unlocked after 200 kills and includes the following mods:

  • Reduced Recoil – Enhanced grip with trigger guard that greatly reduces recoil with each burst
  • Improved Burst – Power cell that raises the number of bolts fired in each burst to 4
  • Exploding Shot – Unstable plasma that explodes on impact, dispersing the bolt damage across a small area. Due to its volatile nature, the blaster builds heat significantly faster with this mod on
SE-44C

The SE-44C has a ruthless fully automatic firing mode. It’s the most expensive weapon for the Officer class – unlocked after 500 kills. Here are the modifications you can do to it:

Star
  • Improved Cooling – Power Cell that greatly increases the time the blaster can be fired before requiring to be cooled down
  • Night Vision – Digital scope capable of revealing enemy troops even in the darkest of environments
  • Rapid Fire – Reinforced casing and trigger, allowing the weapon to be fired at an exponentially higher rate
SPECIALIST CLASS

The sniper class prefers long distance and nice hidden locations, where they can deploy and take out their enemies with precise shots.

VALKEN-38X

This longblaster is manufactured for high precision and power over long ranges. It is the default weapon for the Specialist class and doesn’t allow any upgrades to be made.

IQA-11

Sleek and inexpensive, the IQA-11 will be yours after you score 50 kills on the battlefront. The weapon relies on range and damage, but it lacks in the rate of fire department. Available mods:

  • Dual Zoom – Macroscope that can toggle between 2 magnification levels while zooming
  • Bolt Speed – Extended barrel enabling bolts to be fired at a greater speed, while maintaining weapon stability
  • Improved Cooling – Power Cell that greatly increases the time the blaster can be fired before requiring to be cooled down
A280-CFE

The sniper config of the modular A280-CFE pairs precision at longer ranges with a burst fire for greater effectiveness in the medium range fights. The weapon is unlocked after 200 kills. Here are its 3 mods:

  • Dual Zoom – Macroscope that can toggle between 2 magnification levels while zooming

  • Dual Zoom – Macroscope that can toggle between 2 magnification levels while zooming
  • Improved Cooling – Power Cell that greatly increases the time the blaster can be fired before requiring to be cooled down
  • Disruptor Shot – Supercharged ion bolts that explode on impact. It has increased damage against turrets, vehicles and shields; reduced damage against troopers, reinforcements and hero classes

BEST WEAPONS FOR EACH CLASS

Now that we’ve done a detailed overview of all weapons for all classes, let’s talk about which one is the best and why. I’ll list one weapon for each class and what makes it worth purchasing and modding.

ASSAULT CLASS BEST WEAPON

The CR-2 blaster is by far the most useful in the Assault Trooper’s arsenal. It has a very high rate of fire, combined with lower damage output, but is an absolutely fantastic tool in the hands of both experienced and more new to the game players. It is my favorite weapon and, honestly, if I could, I may just use it on other troopers as well. Sadly, the weapons are restricted to their respective classes only.

It’s a weapon you don’t want to use in long-ranged fights, but from medium to close-range skirmishes, it shines and will net you a lot of successful outcomes. I personally prefer it in the smaller scale Multiplayer maps as they usually allow for a more close-ranged combat in more confined spaces.

The CR-2 is unlocked after you gain a total of 200 kills in any Multiplayer mode and map.

HEAVY CLASS BEST WEAPON

The most expensive weapon in the Heavy Trooper’s arsenal is also the best to use. It will take you 500 kills on any Multiplayer map to unlock it, but it’s worth the trouble and time. The weapon has an incredible combination of great cooling power and very high rate of fire, but it lacks on the damage output. However, this is still the best choice for a short to medium range fights for the Heavy class.

When upgraded with the proper mod, the secondary fire will allow you to fire off a lethal concussion blast. and the other 2 mods are a must-have too, but since they are unlocked before you reach the 250 required kills for the Secondary Fire mode, it’s easy to have it all on now.

OFFICER CLASS BEST WEAPON

For the officer’s best choice the heavy burden to bear this title lands on the SE-44C pistol. I mean, there’s a reason why this weapon was the primary blaster for the First Order, right?! Joking aside, this is a very well-balanced pistol, a great addition for the support class in Star Wars Battlefront 2. If upgraded fully, it can be fired at an exponentially higher rate, thanks to the “Rapid Fire” mod.

There’s a good reason why this pistol is locked behind a 500 kills requirement to unlock it.

SPECIALIST CLASS BEST WEAPON

I’m not much of a sniper, so for the selection of the best weapon for the Specialist class, I had to look around and do some research on the internet. It seems that the best choice lands on the A280-CFE sniper. It boasts a good damage at a relatively long-range.

If your choice of class is the Specialist, you are in luck, because their best weapon is unlocked after only 200 kills. Well, that’s better compared to the Heavy and Officer, isn’t it?

This concludes my in-depth overview and guide to all weapons available in Star Wars Battlefront 2 Multiplayer. If you have different preferences, I would love it if you share with me and the rest of my visitors, why you like another weapon the most for your favorite class. Cheers :)
